Eleni Symeonides
Eleni Symeonides, of last fall’s web series Candy Girls and one of the beautiful models on Deal or No Deal tv show, shed some insight into what she’s learned as an actor and what’s on the horizon.
How, or why, did you get involved with acting in Candy Girls?
I got involved in this project because it relates a lot to the way men and women are now days, it’s light hearted comedy with a twist. John Fraund the director is a dear friend of mine and believed in me enough to offer me the role as Eliza, a former-escort-turned-Hollywood-Madam.
What 5 lessons were learned along the way while working on Candy Girls?
- Than no matter whether it’s a tv show, web series or a film the same amount of time, effort, passion and commitment are invested into a project.
- You never stop learning as an actor.
- You don’t get your own trailer on a low budget project… HA!
- That I am blessed to be working every day on my craft and getting paid for it, because at the end of the day it’s all business for every one else.
- That you meet so many diverse people and some how everyone is doing their own thing and it all comes together at the end of the day and just works… you create a story! wether it’s a comedy like Candy Girls or a horror or drama….
What is your next upcoming project?
In the summer I start filming a comedy, an Indi Feature film “Ugly Shoes”, Playing a ditzy Swedish blonde with a purpose and some substance, a dry sense of humor, she is a very cute character and I was lucky enough to be given a bigger part because after the filming the pilot the director added my character into more scenes! What more could i ask for.
