Granted, for most web shows the three acts in each individual episode would be VERY compressed in comparison to film or TV. I think too many series writers get caught up in the idea of making, say, one giant first act for their first couple of episodes (or even a season) and forget to throw in those twists, turns, and complications that will keep audiences watching after that precious first minute. I look at all my favorite scripted web shows and I can clearly see act breaks even in a 2-10 minute span.</p> Great article.
